2. Go to http://www.aasl.ala.org/aaslblog/wp-login.php to log in to the blog.

        If you've logged in successfully, you should see a page that looks something like this:

3.  Click on the Write button in the blue navigation bar.   You should now see this:

    which is where you can type in the text of your post.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU:

• Use relevant keywords in the title of your post, e.g.,
  • the name of the specific PROGRAM/EVENT (e.g, Bookcart Drill Team World Championship), or
  • the name of your specific COMMITTEE /STATE / REGION
• Be sure to check the appropriate category/event name in the Categories list on the right of the text box.
• Save your post as a DRAFT if you think you will need/want to revise it before publishing.
• Remember that your posts will be read by a wide variety of people, with varying levels of prior knowledge about the event.
• Your goal is to give the readers of the blog succinct useful information about the content of the event.
• Formatting of posts should be kept to a minimum. Underline, bold, and italics should be used sparingly, and never within a hypertext link.
• Combined use of prose paragraphs with bulleted and numbered lists works well, as per this article on how users read web pages.
• Photos may be posted to the blog by uploading the photos as image files, or by providing a link to a FLICKR page.
• Spell-check, proofread, and fact check your posts, including the spellings of any names, before publication.

If there are any questions about content, Conference Bloggers are encouraged to post questions to the COMMENTS section on this wiki's home page,

        and/or save their post as a DRAFT and email Alice or Laura at aaslblog@gmail.com about any concerns.

The Blog managers will edit posts after they've been submitted only if absolutely necessary (i.e., spelling issues, exceptional length or funky formatting, anything that might violate the ALACopyrightAgreement, etc.).

All posts to the AASL Blog must observe ALA Copyright Agreement protocol.
